Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech → Aït Benhaddou → Dades Gorges

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. We'll drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260m). Our first major stop is the iconic Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site famous as a backdrop for films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah and having lunch, we continue our journey through Ouarzazate, the "Gateway to the Desert," and the Valley of Roses, arriving at the stunning Dades Gorges where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, we'll drive to the nearby Todra Gorges, a massive trench with towering red rock walls that's a paradise for climbers. You'll have time to walk and admire the scenery. We then travel through several Berber towns to Tinjdad, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we reach the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga. Here, you will trade your vehicle for a camel and embark on a magical 1.5-hour trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes. You'll arrive at your Berber desert camp in time to witness a spectacular sunset over the sand. The evening includes a traditional Moroccan dinner, campfire, and local Berber drum music before you sleep under the stars.

Day 3: Merzouga → High Atlas Mountains → Marrakech

Wake up early to the best sunrise of your life over the desert dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga to meet your driver. We then begin the long but scenic drive back to Marrakech. We'll travel back through the Draa Valley, with its millions of palm trees, and once again cross the High Atlas Mountains. We will drop you off at your accommodation in Marrakech in the early evening, marking the end of your incredible desert adventure.
